Kid Astray – Easily Led Astray EP out now!

Five months have passed since the six members of Oslo-based indie-pop collective Kid Astray somewhat infamously wrote, recorded, mixed and mastered their debut single ”The Mess” in only six hours. The single went on to be awarded ”Untouched Song of the Week” on Norwegian National Broadcaster NRK radio, followed by a 19 weeks and counting playlisting on NRK P3. The music video for ”The Mess” now has over 20 000 views. The band also played four shows at this year’s by:Larm (Scandinavia’s version of SXSW) to great feedback from the press, label reps and publishers.

Since then, the group of teenagers have spent most of their time in a dingy basement in the Norwegian capital recording the handful of songs that make up their debut EP, fittingly entitled ”easily led astray”. The tracks are a credit to the brilliant songwriting and musicianship that lies within this talented bunch, and takes you on a journey through heavy 80’s like synth landscapes, britpopy guitars and solid vocal harmonies.

This, combined with Kid Astray’s catchy choruses and signature hooklines, will make you want to press that play button again and again.
