Could you think of a better way to start the new year? First single out from Diamond Club is 24 year old singer-songwriter Kaja Gunnufsen (Oslo) and her John Olav Nilsen og Gjengen approved ‘Au’. The 3:28 minutes long piano-based single is full of critical comments on the society (we Norwegians like everybody, naturally. Not just the Romani-people and EU wins the peace price), everyday life and a hint of romance and the use of hashtags – all packed in Gunnufsen’s sugar sweet and innocent voice.

We are happy to sign a record-deal with the newcomers Kid Astray. Their debut EP is to be released 15. March 2013
The hype around Norway’s teen collective Kid Astray has been getting bigger and bigger lately as they begin to make moves across Europe. The band have enjoyed a lot of attention in the last couple of months following their debut single The Mess being awarded Untouched Song of the Week on Norwegian national broadcaster NRK radio in October, as well as being playlisted on NRK’s nationwide radio station P3 only a few days later. In the UK, the catchy single was picked up by Rob da Bank on Radio 1 last Saturday and also by Charlie Ashcroft on Amazing Radio. The band is now working towards a debut album and will at the same time be playing gigs throughout Norway during winter and spring 2012/2013 including By:larm. In little over a week Kid Astray have seen their video for ‘The Mess’ hit 3.5K views

It’s been a brilliant year for Philco Fiction and they will finish it off by giving you a “X-mas Presence” EP
Supporting Portrait Of Silence’s icy bad romance are: Leo Zero (Madonna, LDR) who’s brought out Horizon’s inner Studio 54 here; Trabant, from Norway, a jazz band who have covered Portrait here rather beautifully and Proviant Audio, who bring a twinkling narcotic strut to Horizon and last but not least a beatiful cover of Finally by Sandra Kolstad.

The duo Mmm from Oslo, Norway plays lovely electropopmusic. Electro? Pop? Music? No, not in a Robyn vs Röyksopp-kind-of-way. Lean back and picture yourself on a beach on a beautiful summer day. If you add the Nordic coolness and some extremely catchy tunes, you have Mmm in a nutshell. You have to catch this act, my friend. If you like the movie mystic of David Lynch and the music of Kate Bush at the same time, do yourself a favour: Check out Mmm.

Based out of Oslo, Norway Bow To Each Other are Norwegian Gunhild Kristoffersen and Canadian Megan Kovacs – a pop duo whose music is both compelling and alluring.
After meeting and spending several years in Liverpool, UK, playing in various projects and studying, Bow To Each other is a project born out of collective song writing ideas and their move back to Norway.
Drawing inspiration from the 80’s synth pop movement and 90’s film music, as well as taking inspiration from artists like Sufjan Stevens, Kate Bush, Bon Iver and Robyn, Bow To Each Other create music with an ethereal quality; filled with melodic and emotional significance. A sound that harnesses a chilled-out synth lead approach that in spite of it’s melancholy indicates a feeling of hope and light.
Releasing their first EP, ‘I Don’t Hear All The Noise’ in December 2012, the duo have spent the past year touring with rising Norway starlet Susanne Sundfør. Megan and Gunhild are now preparing to release their UK debut in the form of the single ‘Darling’ on November 22nd, before heading back to Norway to play 2013’s by:larm festival and prepping to release their new album later on in 2013.

Her name is Ingvild Østgård, an indiepop songstress from the very north of Norway. Toghether with her band: Lars Even Tørresen (drums), Erik Normann Aanonsen (bass) og Mats Wennerbeg (guitar) she creates everything from small moments of beauty, to the dark pulsing and honest beats of the heart. After her livesession debut last year, her name has been bouncing around the blogosphere with many words of talent. Now she is striking again and releasing her new singel Easy the 5. Of November.
